The POP fender is a telescopic solid boat fender that works like a spring without air. Never run out of air again!

The purpose of it is to protect against damage to the outer shell of a ship during port maneuvers, as well as when mooring at the quay wall, at jetties or in a parcel (ship to ship).

Mass

The air-free POP boat fender has the largest diameter of 165 mm or 215 mm at the middle section and the telescopic range is between 250 or 315 and 620 mm or 770 mm in length and a weight of 1.48 kg or 2.5 kg.

Please note that the POP fender, like classic boat fenders, must not be clamped when mooring. The boat fenders require a certain amount of play to ensure they function properly, only then can the POP fender work like a spring.

Please note!

Check the local conditions regularly and adjust the number and position of the boat fenders if necessary. As the manufacturer, we cannot assess the situation from a distance – it is your responsibility as the boat owner or skipper to ensure the correct number and positioning of the POP fenders. Damage caused by improper handling can therefore not be accepted by the manufacturer.

Ideal fender size & number for the boat: what to look out for?

Depending on the type of boat and operating conditions, weather and water conditions, you should attach sufficient POP boat fenders to each side so that the forces are evenly distributed. Position the airless POP fenders so that critical pressure points and contact surfaces are optimally protected.

Recommendation for use

If you are currently using classic PVC fenders in the Ø100-200 mm range, the POP Fender Ø165 is an option. Compared to classic PVC fenders in the Ø150-300 mm range, the POP fender Ø215 is recommended. A combination of small and large POP fenders often makes sense!
